Voltage control layer has been seriously revamped to give additional freedom to extreme overclockers with new custom design MSI graphics cards. Now MSI Afterburner is able to control up to 3 voltages on custom design MSI Fermi and other future custom design MSI graphics cards. Minimum clock limits for all graphics cards have been reduced from 75% to 50%
Dynamic overclocking, voltage and fan speed limits. MSI Afterburner no longer uses static slider limits calibration and adjusts the limits dynamically when some external factors affect it (e.g. Overdrive clock limits on AMD cards or VGA BIOS fan speed and voltage limits on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 400 cards)
New temperature hysteresis settings for software automatic fan control mode gives you additional way to improve cooling system thermal and acoustic parameters
Now fan speed limits (i.e. minimum and maximum fan speeds accepted by VGA BIOS and display driver) are displayed in custom fan speed curve editor window
Built-in skin sizes have been reduced due to optimized internal skin panels representation and optimized compiled bitmap cache
Optional skin compression ability in the built-in skin compiler. Skin format reference documentation has been updated to document new compression options
Minor built-in skins appearance tweaks
Now MSI Afterburner uses previously undocumented power user oriented startup mode via the task scheduler under Windows Vista / Windows 7. MSI Afterburner launch no longer requires UAC confirmation at Windows startup. Please take a note that Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 runtime libraries must be installed to get new startup mode working
Now MSI Afterburner automatically fixes startup link if [Start with Windows] or [Apply overclocking at system startup] is enabled but the registry or task scheduler startup entry is missing
Startup profile is now displayed in [Apply at Windows startup] option floating tooltip instead of the main window
Now power users can enable optional DirectInput based hotkeys handler via the configuration file. DirectInput based hotkeys processing can seriously reduces hotkey response time in the applications heavily loading CPU (mostly 3D games) and leaving not enough time for processing standard keyboard input message queues. Please take a note that enabling such sophisticated hotkeys handling mode can cause some system security applications (e.g. pro-active application behavior analysis module of KIS) to warn you about possible keylogging threat
Improved skin engine, now skinned controls support horizontal and/or vertical centering. Skin format reference guide has been updated to document these new alignment modes
MSI On-Screen Display server has been upgraded to version 3.7.2. New version gives you the following improvements:
Now screen capture events are identified visually by text message flashing in On-Screen Display during 0.25s

в смысле тормозит, ибо если что-то не идет это программное

Там в свойсвах есть галка ручное управление кулером! Если не помогает то ралочиный биос надо на оверклокерсе почитай!

печ460 на 150 мгц поднял, дальше стремаюсь, но можно и можно и больше, у меня ОС едитион, температура даже не поднялась.

Пользуюсь при запуске игр на 2х видухах GTX460 в SLI.......так как они разогнаны до 820-1640-2000 при заводских 675-1350-1800 ........... прога при софт-вольтмодинг подымает напругу на GPU до 1.087В...только нужно разлочить для этого биос видух...........

Now MSI Afterburner's startup daemon routine precaches VRM I2C registers state at the first Windows startup. Precached VRM state is being used to detect default voltage instead of hardcoding default voltages into the database. Please take a note that you may forcibly perform precaching later with command line switch or disable the precaching at all via configuration file if necessary and force MSI Afterburner to use the previous hardcoded database based default voltage detection

Unified videomemory usage monitoring layer is based upon RivaTuner's VidMem plugin technology under Windows XP and original concepts of accessing Direct3D kernel mode thunk statistics under Windows Vista and Windows 7, introduced by Mark Russinovich in ProcessExplorer 15. В версии 4.1 добавили новый скин, достаточно приятный и информативный, хотя старый, имхо, удобней.
Что понравилось - теперь можно свернуть утилиту, а окно мониторинга датчиков оставить открытым так удобней !

Вышла MSI Afterburner 4.3 с массой нововведений
Спустя 10 месяцев после выпуска прошлой версии, Алексей Николайчук закончил работу над финальной версией своей известнейшей утилиты для диагностики и разгона видеокарт MSI Afterburner.
Новая версия MSI Afterburner 4.3 содержит массу изменений, которые настолько многогранны, что их сложно описать в нескольких словах. На наш взгляд, главным изменением программы стала поддержка множества видеокарт, добавляемая не только самим автором программы, но и сообществом, что значительно повышает возможности разгона. Несомненно, и сам автор добавил поддержку новых поколений ускорителей от NVIDIA и AMD, а также представил функционал по работе с новыми функциями видеокарт Polaris и Pascal. Также появилась возможность установки нелинейной зависимости частоты GPU от напряжения с помощью графиков.

- Добавлена поддержка графических процессоров AMD Ellesmere и Baffin.
- Добавлена технология Overdrive N (Overdrive 7) для видеокарт архитектуры AMD Polaris.
- Добавлено управление напряжением референсных карт AMD Radeon RX 460, AMD RadeonRX 470 и AMD Radeon RX 480 со встроенным контроллером SMC.
- Добавлен график мониторинга памяти для видеокарт AMD, ранее доступный только для семейств AMD Ellesmere и Baffin.
- Добавлена опция «Очистки атосохранённых настроек при запуске» во вкладке «Общее». В драйверах AMD семейства Crimson, драйвер автоматически сохраняет аппаратные настройки (такие как разгон или настройки вентилятора) в реестре и применяет их при запуске, что, по мнению автора, небезопасно, поскольку не даёт возможности вернуть предыдущее состояние разгона даже после удаления драйвера. Новая опция позволяет сбросить эти настройки.
- Для видеокарт NVIDIA Pascal добавлена поддержка GPU Boost 3.0: добавлено процентное увеличение напряжения и возможность настроки напряжения/частоты по кривой. В новой версии утилиты у вас сохранится возможность использования традиционного слайдера частоты в картах NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 и 1080 для фиксированной настройки напряжения/частоты. В то же время появилось и принципиально новая возможность гибкой настройки режимов разгона, благодаря новому редактору кривой оверклокинга. Это окно активируется в главном окне кнопкой «Редактор кривой напряжения/частоты» или комбинацией Ctrl+F. Оно обеспечивает следующие функции: Независимая настройка частоты для каждой точки с помощью мыши или кнопок Вверх/Вниз. Зажимая Ctrl можно устанавливать якорь и фиксировать частоту на максимальной/минимальной величине напряжения, а также устанавливать линейную интерполяцию кривой между якорем и настраиваемой точкой. Сброс точек выполняется комбинацией Ctrl+D. Переключение между режимом графика и слайдеров можно осуществлять на лету, чтобы контролировать влияние разных режимов разгона на лету. Для отключения динамического разгона и включения фиксированного соотношения напряжения/частота необходимо выделить точку на кривой мышью и нажать L. Это даёт возможность протестировать стабильность видеокарты для каждого режима по отдельности. Утилита позволяет сохранять каждый из графиков в профиль разгона, так что переключение между ними осуществляется предельно просто. Автор отмечает, что использование фиксированных значений напряжения и частоты не позволяет отключать троттлинг по температуре и энергопотреблению.
- Увеличены максимальные лимиты по умолчанию для частот ядра, памяти и использования памяти, для улучшения читаемости графиков для видеокарт серии NVIDIA Pascal.
- Добавлено переключение файла конфигурации, что позволяет менять источник для графика энергопотребления на картах NVIDIA. По рекомендации компании, по умолчанию используется график нормализованного энергопотребления (т.е. нормализованная величина от различных датчиков, установленных на видеокартах). Однако в MSI Afterburner есть возможность использования только датчика мощности GPU.
- Улучшен внешний вид графиков карт NVIDIA по рекомендации компании. Так, графики «Лимит напряжения» и «Максимальный лимит перенапряжения» были объединены в один. График «Лимит использования» переименован в «Лимит без нагрузки». График «Синхронизация SLI» теперь скрыт на системах с одним GPU NVIDIA. Улучшено представление графика лимита производительности в OSD или на LCD клавиатуре Logitech. Теперь отображаются имена лимитов вместо использовавшихся бинарных кодов.
- База данных, предоставленная сообществом и включённая в дистрибутив, теперь позволяет управлять напряжением на некоторых видеокартах заказной конструкции не произведенных MSI.
- Добавлена поддержка регулятора напряжения uP1816 для обеспечения совместимости с будущими картами MSI.
- Улучшено подтверждение и поддержка ложных данных, отображаемых после TDR или в ходе инсталляции драйвера NVIDIA.
- Улучшен мониторинг частот на картах NVIDIA с GPU Boost 2.0 после динамической установки/переустановки драйвера при запущенной MSI Afterburner.
- Добавлен контроль установки драйвера видеокарты NVIDIA. Теперь MSI Afterburner периодически контролирует наличие драйвера NVIDIA и отображает уведомление, в случае если GPU потерян после удаления или динамической установки драйвера.
- Профиль при запуске теперь включает кнопку «Закрепить профиль». Она означает, что вы не сможете модифицировать или удалить ваши стартовые настройки разгона, пока нажата эта кнопка. Эта функция может быть полезной для защиты стартовых настроек разгона от модификаций при временном использовании и тестировании других сценариев разгона.
- Добавлена поддержка разгона с отключенными PowerPlay на картах AMD с PowerPlay7 (AMD Tonga и новее).
- Добавлена неофициальная поддержка разгона для карт архитектуры AMD Polaris.
- Добавлена возможность использования интерфейса низкоуровневого аппаратного доступа на видеокартах AMD при условии, что наследный VGA BIOS не картирован в памяти (как в UEFI).
- Улучшена совместимость с картами AMD с поддержкой API Overdrive 5 и Overdrive 6.
- Добавлено определение ключа реестра драйвера для вторичных видеоадаптеров в системах с SLI/Crossfire. Благодаря этому изменению больше нет необходимости во временном отключении Crossfire при изменении настроек в секции «Свойства совместимости AMD» (например, при расширении официального лимита разгона или включении ULPS).
- Улучшено определение аппаратного обеспечения и время запуска приложения на Crossfire-системах с включённым ULPS на адаптерах AMD Fiji и более новых.

RivaTuner Statistics Server v7.0.1:
· Improved built-in benchmarking engine:
o Added 1%/0.1% low framerate statistics calculation. Unlike traditional calculation approach, which is assuming post-processing of whole set of collected frametimes at the final stage of benchmarking, RivaTuner Statistics Server introduces new concepts of dynamic 1%/0.1% low framerate statistics calculation. The implementation is open source and demonstrated in RivaTuner Statistics Server SDK.
o 1%/0.1% low framerates are stored in the benchmark results file. 1%/0.1% low framerate are also displayed in benchmark On-Screen Display, so you may track 1%/0.1% low framerate dynamics in realtime.
· Updated SDK:
o Added new open source RTSSFrametimePipeSample sample. The sample is demonstrating implementation of custom benchmarking software, which is receiving per-frame frametime statistics in realtime via named pipe connection to RivaTuner Statistics Server. Post-processing text frametime log files after running the benchmark is no longer necessary! Now you may create your own benchmarking software and receive frametime data from RivaTuner Statistics Server in realtime directly while 3D application is running. Such approach was in use by some major hardware reviewers for a few years, now it is open source and available to everyone! The sample is also demonstrating the following techniques:
§ Realtime frametime graph rendering
§ Realtime current framerate averaging with sliding window algorithm, minimum and maximum framerates calculation and display
§ Dynamic 1%/0.1% low framerate statistics calculation and display
§ Logging per-frame frametime, current, minimum, average, maximum, 1% low and 0.1% low framerates to CSV text file
· Improved text formatting tags support:
o Now text position tags can use negative coordinates to move a text to a new position specified in character units instead of zoomed pixel units
o Improved text position tags handling for cases when the tag is used explicitly before the embedded object
o Added new visualization style support for embedded graph objects. Now it is possible to embed barchart styled graphs
· Slightly optimized On-Screen Display geometry batching for all 3D APIs in order to simplify the process of new functionality implementation in future versions

MSI Afterburner 4.4.3 beta 4
- Новый профайлер аппаратного мониторинга производительности теперь визуально отсортирован в виде диаграммы времени отклика, вместо простого показа одного сенсора с максимальным временем отклика. Это позволяет намного проще выявить самые прожорливые к процессорному времени датчики. Панель больше не связана с горячими клавишами <Ctrl>+<Shift> и контекстным меню «Показать статус». Теперь она может быть показана с помощью отдельной команды в контекстном меню «Показать панель профайлера».
- В перечень управления добавлен стиль двойной буферизации, отображаются динамически обновляемые датчики в GUI плагинах AIDA64/HwInfo/PerfCounter. Двойная буферизация нацелена на снижение эффекта мерцания.
Добавлена кнопка для выбора имени или индекса параметра в счётчике производительности в диалоге настройки плагина PerfCounter. Больше не нужно (но возможно) вводить имя вручную. - Перечень корневых элементов (т.е. имён объектов) отсортирован по алфавиту в окне «Добавить новый источник» плагина PerfCounter.
- Теперь вы можете зажать <Ctrl> и нажимать кнопки «Добавить новый источник» в плагинах AIDA64/HwInfo/PerfCounter, чтобы клонировать выбранные ресурсы. Это может быть полезно при необходимости задать одинаковые наборы датчиков для большого набора физических устройств (например, клонировать показания с HDD1 на HDD2).
- Исправлена ошибка в GUI плагина HwInfo, которая приводила к отображению двойных датчиков в окне «Добавить новый источник».
- Добавлена возможность использования счётчиков производительности с нелокализованными именами в плагине PerfCounter (т.е. счётчики производительности GPU Engine, представленные в Windows 10 Fall Creators Update)
Кроме этого обновился и RTSS до версии 7.1.0. Изменения в нём включают:
- Добавлен механизм закрепления OSD для сторонних приложений. Механизм призван исключить эффекты мерцания.
- Добавлены теги форматирования текста для отображения минимальной, средней, максимальной, 1% снижения и 0,1% снижения частоты кадров в режиме бенчмарка.
- Появилась возможность настроить размер графика истории времени кадра посредством свойств RivaTuner Statistics Server. Положительные значения используются для задачи размера в пикселях, а отрицательные — в символах.
- Теперь появилась возможность переключить состояние режима бенчмарка из свойств RTSS. Для сторонних приложений для этого по-прежнему требуется нажимать горячую кнопку.
- Появилась возможность переключаться между средним и постоянным режимами расчётов для пиковых частот кадров для режима бенчмарка через свойства RTSS.
- Исправлены ошибки в контекстной справочной системе.
- Изменён SDK. Теперь образец кода RTSSSharedMemorySample демонстрирует реализацию закрепления OSD и фильтра мерцания.
- Обновлён список профилей.

• Minimum, average, maximum, 1% low and 0.1% low framerates are now displayed in On-Screen Display with special text formatting tags introduced by new RivaTuner Statistics Server. The tags are allowing On-Screen Display clients to display independent benchmark statistics simultaneously for multiple running 3D applications instead of displaying foreground 3D application statistics only
• Improved default MSI Cyborg White skin. Monochrome on / off states of fan speed auto button were hardly identifiable before, they are more contrast now
• Added power user oriented restore points system. Experienced users may use new /backup and /restore command line switches to create multiple named restore points containing full backups of MSI Afterburner’s settings (including hardware profiles and custom hardware monitoring plugin configurations) and restore settings from any previously created restore point if necessary
• Improved hardware monitoring module:
• Improved built-in performance profiler. Now you may enable “Show profiler panel” option is the context menu of hardware monitoring window to see an additional panel with detailed per-sensor polling statistics in hardware monitoring window status area. Polling statistics visualizes information about the slowest polled sensors with maximum polling time, so power users can easily identify problematic sensors eating most of CPU time on each polling period (e.g. abnormally slow GPU power sensor in some versions of NVIDIA drivers)
• Improved correction formulas support. Now in addition to “x” variable representing current data source the formulas may also use sibling data sources. For example, you may use “x – “RAM Usage”” correction formula for “Pagefile usage” (commit charge) data source to subtract RAM usage from displayed value
• Fixed incorrect tracking markers rendering on the graphs dynamically added to hardware monitoring module
• Fixed incorrect tracking markers rendering when monitoring ring data buffer is full
• Added experimental support for Intel i7 and i9 7XXXX LGA2066 CPUs
• Added CPU package power monitoring for Intel CPUs
• Minimum sampling interval for CPU usage calculation has been reduced from 1000ms to 100ms
• Original RivaTuner’s monitoring history fragment selection and selected fragment processing functionality is back! Now you may hold <Shift> and press left mouse button on initial desired position in hardware monitoring window to begin fragment selection, then drag mouse cursor to desired final position and release left mouse button to select a fragment. The following functionality is available for selected fragments:
• When the fragment is selected, minimum and maximum displayed values are estimated within selected fragment only. This feature can be used if you don’t need the global minimum and maximum values, estimated during whole monitoring session, and wish to see local minimum and maximum values estimated within some shorter period of time (e.g. during benchmark application runtime only).
• When the fragment is selected you may use the context menu of any graph to set tracking marker into the local minimum or maximum position within the selection. This feature can be used to automate the process of identifying and visualizing the moments of reaching peak values (e.g. peak GPU temperature) on desired fragments
* Improved monitoring plugins architecture:
• Added plugin descriptions to plugins selection window
• Added new SetupSource API function allowing you to configure the plugins. This function is allowing you to customize the plugins either globally from plugin selection window (e.g. configure whole list of data sources exported by each plugin) or customize desired data source only directly from corresponding graph properties window (e.g. change network download rate units from MB/s to KB/s). SetupSource function usage is demonstrated in SDK in updated AIDA64 and PerfCounter plugins
• Added new GetHostAppProperty API function allowing the plugins to retrieve various properties from the host application (i.e. MSI Afterburner), e.g. retrieve GUI color scheme specific to the currently selected skin. GetHostAppProperty guru function usage is demonstrated in SDK in updated AIDA64 and PerfCounter plugins
* Improved monitoring plugins:
• Now the plugins store user customized and built-in default configurations in separate files, so your custom plugin settings won’t be lost on new version install
• Added configuration GUI for AIDA64, HwInfo and PerfCounter plugins. Each plugin’s user interface is allowing you to edit the list of sensors exported by each plugin, export full list of available sensors to a text file, customize each sensor’s properties or reset plugin settings to defaults
• Improved PerfCounter plugin:
• Added support for performance counters with non-localized names (e.g. “GPU Engine” under Windows Fall Creators Update)
• Added support for dynamic data sources. Dynamic data sources are not validated during creation, such sources are allowed to export no data until some condition is met (e.g. “CPU usage” performance counters specific to some target process export data only when the process is running)
* Improved SMART plugin:
• Added airflow temperature SMART attribute support for Intel/Samsung SSDs.
* Added new CPU plugin:
• The plugin fully duplicates MSI Afterburner’s built-in CPU temperature monitoring implementation (with the only exception of AMD Ryzen codepath, which cannot be open sourced due to NDA) and shows third party plugin developers how to implement low-level CPU specific sensors in plugins using CPU MSR registers and PCI configuration space access API
* Added new GPU plugin:
• The plugin shows third party developers how to extend MSI Afterburner’s GPU monitoring functionality and implement own GPU specific sensors in plugins using GPU enumeration and identification API. The plugin is demonstrating implementation of D3DKMT GPU performance counters providing unified vendor agnostic per-engine GPU usage, dedicated and shared memory usage monitoring
• Fixed issue in context help system, which could cause the tooltip to flicker when it was displayed below mouse cursor
• RivaTuner Statistics Server has been upgraded to v7.1.0

- Ported to VC++ 2022 compiler. Please take a note that due to this change MSI Afterburner will no longer be able to start under Windows XP. Please stay on the previous versions of the product if you need this OS support
- Please take a note that size of mandatory VC++ 2022 runtime redistributables roughly doubled comparing to the previously used VC++ 2008 redistributables, and we’d like to avoid providing overblown application distributive, drastically increased in size due to bundling newer and much heavier VC++ redistributables with it. To deal with this issue we provide our own original tiny web installer for VC++ redistributables, which allowed decreasing the size of final application distributive drastically even comparing to the previous VC++ 2008 based version. Please take a note that install time can be increased slightly due to downloading VC++ 2022 runtimes redistributables on the fly during installation. If you install MSI Afterburner offline, you can always deploy required VC++ 2022 distributives later with web installer by launching .\Redist\VCRedistDeploy.bat
